Worthy Cause Wednesday
When wish granters first met Amirah, she had recently been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. She was unable to express herself verbally or move independently. Her family helped us get to know her; they shared her favorite toys, songs, colors, and her silly, outgoing personality before diagnosis. ??
During the wish discovery process, Amirah started to regain movement… and was slowly finding her voice again. The moment we’ll never forget? The first time her wish granters heard her sweet voice... When she was gifted a Minnie Mouse plushie, Amirah reached out and exclaimed, “Minnie!” ??
As her sparkle returned and her love for Disney became clear... her heartfelt wish was to go to Disneyland with her family. Together they met characters, splashed in the pool, watched fireworks, and explored the park together. It was a week of fun, giggles, and memories they’ll carry forever. ???????
This is the power of a wish—opening doors to joy, strength, and the magic of being a kid again.
