Brody's Trailer Wish

Brody, a 15-year-old wish kid battling a critical illness, eagerly awaited his wish to be granted in San Diego during the challenges of the pandemic. Since his leukemia diagnosis in July 2020, his chemotherapy treatments had been grueling, causing allergic reactions and seizures. However, the team at Make-A-Wish San Diego decided to infuse the 22nd day with a new meaning that symbolized hope and joy beyond Brody's illness. On November 22nd, during a heartwarming Zoom call, Brody's wish granters shared the incredible news that a local company called Ronin Factory would fulfill his wish for a cargo trailer, enabling him to go camping with his dirt bike once he regained his health. This unexpected revelation brought a glimmer of excitement and something to look forward to during his challenging treatments.

 When asked about his vision, he expressed, "I would be happy with a box on wheels because it's my box. I am just grateful for anything you can do." Inspired by his heartfelt desire, the dedicated teams at Ronin Factory and Make-A-Wish collaborated to find and customize the perfect trailer for him. The day arrived on January 22nd, when Brody's wish granters surprised him over Zoom, announcing that his wish had come true earlier than expected. As he stepped outside his front door, he discovered the personalized trailer, complete with his name, thoughtfully placed by the Ronin team. Additionally, he received special wish enhancements, including a new BOXO Tools set and Thor MX motorcycle riding gear, generously donated by local San Diego companies. Brody's small town of Pine Valley, which had rallied around him since his diagnosis, witnessed the profound impact of this life-changing moment filled with joy and gratitude.
